Everything seems to taste a little bit better, when you have it prepared for you. But poke bowls are super easy to make at home. And might I mention, save you some money making it yourself. The best part of poke bowls are the ingredients can be interchangeable so whatever you like or do not, you can include. It's also pretty easy to whip together since most of the ingredients are items I always have on hand, like cucumbers, carrots, rice and frozen shrimp.
You can use any kind of protein, but remember to purchase grade A sushi products if you are cooking with raw fish. I recommend to purchase from a fish market, or organic center for the best and most fresh fish. I chose cooked shrimp for this recipe, instead of my typical raw salmon, but whatever your preference is, works! Overall the cook time isn't very long, especially if you're working with all raw items! Slice up your vegetables, cook your rice, and you're good to go! Ingredients: Shrimp (cooked) 1 cup of Brown rice Imitation crab Seaweed salad 1 baby cucumber 1/2 sliced carrot Edamame beans Scallion Toppings & Sauces: Sesame seeds Sesame oil Soy sauce (Ponzu, Sweet & Sour, Soy sauce, or whatever sauce you prefer) Crunchy toppings (Crispy shallots, crispy garlic, sliced almonds)
